Introducing Two Degrees

You might be wondering, why Two Degrees?

We have taken our name from the worldwide commitment to limit the global temperature rise to 2°C above pre-industrial levels.

For us, the name really symbolises how we are seeking to operate. The environment is and will always be central to our decision making, whether it is through our direct impact via our Feet for Feet model or indirectly through how we carefully manage our product lifecycle to minimise our footprint.

Not perfect, just better.

This is no easy task and we accept that we will never be perfect - our work will never be finished. But we promise you that we will always work hard to be better and be honest about where we need to improve.

“If you aim at nothing, you will hit it every time” - Zig Ziglar.

The 2°C limit is a simple, singular and unifying goal. Granted, it is ambitious and may oversimplify a complex discussion but we believe that goals are powerful instruments in effecting change and that is exactly what we need right now.

The ‘Two Degrees’ logo decoded

Our brand icon represents a graph which shows rising temperatures worldwide.

The plateau at the top of the increase represents the 2°C limit and the decline away from the plateau demonstrates that together, through small changes in our lifestyles and everyday choices, we can all help reduce global warming.

When you first looked at the logo you may have seen a mountain landscape. We’re cool with that…after all our shoes are all about getting outside and exploring!

If you are interested in the 2°C statistic, you can read a bit more here. I am sure we will all be hearing more and more about it over the next 5-10 years.
